I Don't Need To Know About A Good Night's Rest
Have you ever experienced a lack of sleep? If I was to make a dollar on every "Yes" that I get on that question I would be a multi-billionaire. Everyone has experienced not getting enough sleep at one time or another. While some of us suffer from this just once in a while others constantly just can't sleep or can't be comfortable in their sleep. The result is agony in the morning-you're just not ready to start your day. With all the daily challenges everyone faces, whether it be big or small, a good night's rest is almost as important as food and water.
When we sleep, our body rests and rejuvenates and restores its energy levels. A deep, good night's sleep is often the best way to help your body heal and regain strength, and for your mind to rest and develop new ideas. If deprived with good sleep, our body is not ready to perform physically at its best and our minds just can't get creative at its best, we can't concentrate, our memory is short term. Without enough sleep, we tend to be cranky, short tempered, impatient -we tend to lose our real inner being and our personal relationships can be also affected. Continually not getting the rest that we need for a prolonged period of time, called chronic sleep problem, can cause complications to illnesses that we may already have or help develop serious health problems like diabetes. Not to mention, sleep deprivation is also known to be one of the common causes of accidents.
There are many different factors that can contribute to your sleep problem such as:
- Insomnia, sleep apnea, or any sleep disorder
- Stress, anxiety, depression
- Irregular work shift
- Pain, difficulty breathing from an existing medical condition
- Not enough time to sleep enough
- Drugs or prescription medicine
- A wrong mattress
No one needs to be lectured why a deep good night's sleep is very important. Many people, however, do not realize right away that a better sleep can result from simply changing their mattress!
